We celebrate all the 19 recipients of the 2021 Payne-Tanner Memorial Scholarship, the 10 recipients of the 2021 Gwen Ifill Scholarship, 1 recipient of the McZier Scholarship and 2 recipients of the Timothy S. Haye scholarship. We are proud of your hard work! Thank you to all who have given to these scholarships in support of our young people.

The Metropolitan A.M.E. Church Scholarship Endowment will host its 28th Annual Scholarship Awards Program virtually this Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 12 Noon. The program will feature as Keynote Speaker, Rodney E. Slater, Esq., former US Secretary of Transportation, and as Master of Ceremonies, Rev. Thomas A. Brackeen, Jr., Minister for Metropolitan’s Youth and Family Ministry. The Scholarship Endowment appreciates your support of our deserving youth who demonstrate scholastic achievement and financial need. Ticket donations: $25. Other contributions are also appreciated. A Zoom link will be provided.

 

Calling all men! The Men's Prayer Call will be a sacred space where brothers can share and explore their relationship with God in Christ Jesus. All brothers are encouraged to come to the group as they are. The call will be every Monday Morning at 7:30 am – 7:45 am on Zoom.

Save the Date: The Potomac District Youth Explosion will be on Friday, June 25 at 7 pm and Saturday, June 26 at 12 pm. More information to come.

 

Metropolitan A.M.E. Church will host a Virtual Vacation Bible School the week of July 26-30, 2021 from 7 pm - 8 pm each night. The theme for this year's VBS is "I've Got This" with Jesus. VBS will have classes for ages 3-100+. Sessions will include Bible stories, games, movement, Black History, music, arts and crafts.
