Thank God for One More Day
Be ever ready for the birth of our savior is near. Fires consume the western coastline. Hurricanes devastate the beautiful Caribbean islands and our coastlines. The pandemic has consumed millions and residents are evicted from housing. Lives are devastated by government action and inaction. Thousands of lives are lost to gun violence. Lord, the list goes on!!
But we serve a magnificent God who hears our prayers. Even when we do not truly feel it; He knows just what we need and when we need his blessings. Truly, our cup runneth over!!
As I look forward to Advent, I await seasonal changes. The falling leaves and their changing colors, decreasing temperatures and frost greet us. The sounds of the season will rise like a crescendo, raising our spirits higher as we praise God for so many blessings.
Think of the many things you take for granted every day! But for the grace of God would we even enjoy them? He wakes us up. He sends us on the way and safely returns us at day’s end. Throughout, we are clothed in our right mind! Praise God!! As we prepare for the birth celebration of Jesus, we must gather to rejoice and praise him.
Prayer
Jesus, I pray that your blessings will continue to nourish and strengthen us. I rejoice and Thank God for One More Day!!
