"In everything give thanks."
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NRSVUE
December 18, 2023
Thank You, Lord, for the Advent season. After an arduous journey through the year, we need
time to recharge.
Each year during the Advent season, we are gifted the unique opportunity to revive and renew
our spirit. We center ourselves in anticipation of the Lord’s renewed presence in our hearts,
minds and daily lives.
Each of the four Sundays represents a rekindling of the hope, the peace, the joy and the love we
once knew or are just finding. Each Sunday, we light a candle embracing each spirit.
This is a tremendous gift. I think each of us will benefit from a resurgence of hope, peace, joy
and love in our personal and community lives. Together, let’s share the love and spread the
peace.
