“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NRSVUE
Eighth Day After Christmas
On June 19, 2023, I had a stroke that took away my peripheral vision on the right side of my
eyes. As a result of this, I cannot drive and my balance is slightly off. That being said, I feel truly
blessed because it was not as debilitating as it could have been and my husband and family have
been very supportive.
Thinking about my vision made me think of God’s vision for us. His omniscient vision knew that
we needed help; so, He sent Jesus. As we wait on his coming during this Advent season,
remember that God wants us to believe in him, follow his word, love everyone, forgive
everyone, be of service to others and show our faith through our actions.
