“For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Real Love
I like to travel. I like to exercise at the gym. I like to worship at 1518 M Street N.W. Since the coronavirus pandemic, I have not been able to do these activities because it is not safe or healthy. I miss them. In the midst of this pandemic, I have been thinking about these things that, previously, I would do without giving any thought that they can be taken away.
Not being able to travel, exercise at the gym, and worship at 1518 M Street N.W. has made me really appreciate these blessings that God has given me. I am grateful to have them. I have faith that I will be able to do these things once this pandemic is over and it is safe to do them.
This Lenten season, I will reflect on the many blessings I have been given by God. I will thank God for the many blessings. And I will thank him for his son, Jesus, who he gave to us because he loved us so much.
Prayer: God thank you for your many blessings. Let me not take your blessings for granted. Let me cherish them and
thank you every day.

Lent 2021
The members and friends of Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church
have written their devotions and reflections on the impact of the season of Lent
in their lives. Each testimony in the booklet is a personal reflection of their experiences.
We welcome you on this journey with us as we discuss our sacrifices and hope
that some aspect of the scripture, reflections, or prayers will inspire you as you
experience the season.
Read along with us each day or download the book to read along with us offline. May God bless and keep you throughout this season of reflection.
