Called by God, According to God's Purpose
During Lent and throughout the year, we may reflect on God’s love, call, and purpose through the sacrificial offering of Jesus Christ for the sin(s) of all people. This reflection offers various ways of viewing redemptive salvation, through the lens of our daily lives. This revelation, from God, allows for the divine to be viewed in the common acts of life, such as providing support for the ill, providing resources for the endangered, and providing God’s love for the lonely and lost.
The Apostle Paul was called by God for a purpose. Paul wrote to the Church at Rome, to Gentiles, and to all believers: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
So, during this time of preparation, let us be strengthened, as we acknowledge our dependency on the Holy Spirit for guidance within our situational context, our personal context, and our spiritual context.
Prayer
Holy Father, cleanse our hearts, that we might be open to your will so that you might commune with us. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
