Lent 2022: Let Us Pray by Reverend Aisha Karimah

"Pray without ceasing.”

Let Us Pray

I was thinking the other day, about the season of Lent. What a tremendous opportunity we’ve been given. Forty (40) days and nights, to reflect, refocus and renew. We don’t have to go anywhere. No crowd is needed and no cameras are allowed. It’s personal. I like to say, it’s between the Lord and me.

Because the Lord has all power and all knowledge, everything I need is available in prayer. Remaining open to the Spirit of God keeps me in the presence of the Lord.

May I encourage you to join me from your space to center on Jesus? Join with me to lift your voice in prayer. Together, let’s reflect, refocus and renew ourselves. And, as we shed the old and put on the newness of the Lord, let’s remember to pray healing for our children, families, and community.

Let’s get started and keep going. I truly believe, prayer really can change hearts and minds for the better. I’ll keep praying, will you?

Prayer

Thank you Lord for the opportunity to pray. Amen
