“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.”

Lord Give Us Peace and Healing
Our nation is in turmoil and our people are divided; resulting in anger, hate and chaos. Voting rights and our democracy are under attack. The pandemic is causing pain, death, financial woes, health concerns and employment problems.
Lord, you died on the cross to save us. Your example of courage, strength, endurance, and patience are what we need to get through these challenging times. This Lenten season, Lord please help and give us the strength and patience for you to heal us.
It appears the people are ignoring your warnings of fires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other destruction. It appears they have so much hate and selfishness preventing them from seeing your light for the world. Love, kindness, and compassion are absent in their hearts. Lord, we ask that you turn their hearts from stone to love and follow your example to love and help others. Lord, bring us peace and healing.
Prayer
Lord, you died on the Cross to save us. Send your healing powers to end the suffering from the pandemic and turn the hearts of hate into love and compassion for others. With your stripes we are healed. Amen.
