Lent 2022: Lovely to See by James Robinson

“Whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable; if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.”

-Philippians 4:8

Lovely to See

As we enter this season of Lent, I am intent on focusing on the beauty all around us. One of my Facebook friends recently posted the lyrical genius of Richard Smallwood:

When I’ve lost my direction, you’re the compass for my way.

You’re the fire and light when my nights are long and cold.

In sadness, you are the laughter that shatters all my fears.

When I’m all alone, your hand is there to hold.

Jesus, you are the center of my joy

Prayer

Father God, allow me to stay focused on the goodness of God. Amen.
