This Sunday, the YPD will collect an offering immediately after service for the Annual Souper Bowl of Caring. Students will be stationed at the back of the church as you exit with baskets representing each Super Bowl team participant. You may give towards the basket for the team you believe will win this Sunday’s game. The money received will go towards a designated mission project selected by the 2nd District. Thanks for your continued support of the YPD.

Metropolitan AME Church (“Metropolitan”) and the Daniel Alexander Payne Community Development Corporation (“Payne CDC”) are excited to announce our preliminary plans to construct a residential tower on the grounds of our historic church, Metropolitan AME Church, at 1518 M Street NW.
This tower will serve as a home for 28 unhoused, at-risk military veterans who are in desperate need of stable housing and support services.

The Sons and Daughters of Allen present the 2024 Cultural Arts Festival. This year's theme is Bridging the Generation Gap through Music and the Arts. The festival will take place Saturday March 2, 2024 at 12 noon. The festival with feature the youth of Metropolitan and Howard University.
Tickets are $35 and vendors can exhibit for $50. You may purchase tickets from any member.
