God's blessing and grace to each of you as we worship, liberate, and serve together.


During the week, Morning Meditations with Metropolitan continue at 7 am Monday through Friday, Men's Prayer Call at 7:30 am on Monday.


Noonday and Pastor’s Study at 7 pm continues on Wednesday. We continue to read Dr. Judy Fentress-Williams Holy Imagination: A Literary and Theological Introduction to the Whole Bible. Join us as we approach scripture in fresh ways. You can purchase the book at Bookshop, Target, and Amazon.


This Sunday we begin our new phase for worship! Celebrate Founder’s Day with us at 9:30 am and Join us each and every Sunday on Facebook, YouTube, and on Our Website. Need to join via phone? You can dial-in for audio-only at 1-929-205-6099, 975804722.

Souper Bowl of Caring is this Sunday. As in past years, we are calling upon you to support our youth by giving a sacrificial offering to the YPD! The Souper Bowl of Caring is a national movement with youth across the United States working together to fight hunger in their local communities around Super Bowl Sunday. This year’s proceeds will help the Shirley Sheares AME Empowerment Center/Shelter in Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as other needy agencies in our conferences. Please designate in the memo your donation when you give, either by check or electronically.

Invitation to share Metropolitan Black History Family Stories

The Sunday morning meditations team invites the Metropolitan Family to join us in celebrating Black History. Each person/family is asked to create 1-3 minute (no more than 3 minutes! So check your time stamp) video of a family story that represents what Black History means to you and your family. What is a story from your family and community that reminds you of the history of our African Diaspora village? If you do not have a story, then please take the time to share a Black history fact, person, or quotation that you find important to lift up in this season in a 1-3 minute video or even an image! In particular we lift the family of Erma Lee who passed this week, the family of Dawn Cook who passed, Dr. Regina Davis Moss in the passing of her mother Delphynne Jones Davis, her cousin Vincent Gamble, and her uncle Nathan Jones, Jr. all in the last days of January 2022, Shawn Jenkins and family in the passing of his father, Edwin Jenkins, and Brenda Dancil-Jones in the passing of her aunt, Fannie Mae Douglas Brown.
