God's blessings upon you as we continue to worship, liberate, and serve.

This weekend we remember the nine members of Mother Emanuel AME Church who were killed on June 17, 2015. On that night clergy and members of Emanuel AME were mercilessly gunned down during Bible study by a 21-year-old white supremacist. Let us say each of their names:

Rev. Clementa Pinckney,

Cynthia Hurd

Rev. Sharonda Coleman-Singleton

Tywanza Sanders

Ethel Lance

Susie Jackson

Rev. Depayne Middleton Doctor

Rev. Daniel Simmons

Myra Thompson

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, father figures.

We celebrate Juneteenth this weekend as we acknowledge the day of jubilee and declared emancipation for those who were enslaved in Texas by order from Major General Granger on June 19, 1865 in Galveston, Texas. This annual rite of Black people in the South has become the newest federal holiday in the United States. Read more about Juneteenth.
