Greetings! May God’s love embrace you as we continue to worship, liberate and serve.

During the weekend, we look forward to your presence during Sunday meditations at 9 am and worship for the first week of Advent at 9:30 am.

During the week, we look forward to connecting with you during Morning Meditations at Metropolitan at 7 am Monday through Friday, for our Men's prayer call at 7:30 am Monday, and for Noonday and Pastor's Study at noon and 7 pm Wednesday.

The book we are using for Noonday and Pastor's Study is Holy Imagination: A Literary and Theological Introduction to the Whole Bible by Judy Fentress-Williams. You can purchase the book at,, Target, and Amazon.

The Love and Peace Unit of the Sarah Allen Missionary Society is kicking off the Angel Tree Project, continuing their 40-year ministry of supporting children in need by purchasing Christmas gifts for 200 children in the DMV community. This year they are asking for gift card purchases instead of actual gifts. Donations will also be accepted by checks made to Love and Peace – Metropolitan AMEC.

Thank you to each of you who have sent cards, called, texted your blessings to my family during the time of grief with the passing of my aunt and my cousin. Your prayers have been felt and are so appreciated. It is such a blessing to be a part of such a loving church family.
