Greetings! May God’s love embrace you as we continue to worship, liberate and serve.

We look forward to seeing you as you pick up your communion elements Saturday from 11 am-12 noon at the church and in Worship on Sunday at 9 for meditations and 9:30 am on Zoom, Facebook, or Youtube.

During the week, we look forward to your presence during Morning Meditations at Metropolitan at 7 am Monday through Friday, and at our Men's prayer call Monday at 7:30 am.

Both Noonday and Pastor’s Study will return on Wednesday, September 22.

The book we will be using is Holy Imagination by Judy Fentress-Williams. We look forward to your presence at noon and/or at 7 pm. You can purchase the book at,, Target, and Amazon.

The Potomac District Fall Conclave will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9 through Saturday, Sept. 11. The theme is Reimagining Church.

Clergy and Licentiates need to join via Zoom for roll call, the registration link has been sent via email. The meeting will be live-streamed on Metropolitan's Facebook and YouTube for the Thursday session, Friday workshop and worship, and Saturday’s Women in Ministry worship.

Thursday and Friday begin at 6:15 pm and Saturday starts at 10 am. We look forward to a wonderful meeting with Presiding Elder Braxton and the leaders of the Potomac District.



Congratulations to Chef Pinkey, whose business Pinke’s E.A.T.S, operates out of Metropolitan’s kitchen. Chef Pinkey has been working with heavy-hitter business partners through a partnership with JPMorgan Chase and the Washington Area Community Investment Fund. We celebrate member John Ferguson, who has been hired as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of NASCAR. In this role, Bro. Ferguson will oversee NASCAR Human Resources and provide strategic leadership around talent acquisition, employee engagement, and culture development. Read more about it on NASCAR's website.
