Voting Resources

Visit sojo.net/vote (sojo.net/vota for Spanish) or text SOJO to 52886 to check your voter registration, see what candidates are on your ballot, and more.

Encourage others to do the same— and to make a voting plan! What voting options are available, and what's best for me? Make a plan now and be prepared for any upcoming deadlines headed your way. You can now find out your options a little easier with the Sojourners Voter Center!

You can sign up to be a poll worker. There’s a shortage of poll workers in DC and Maryland for the November election. In DC, you can sign up here!

Educate yourself on our rights at the polls so that you can be prepared to recognize and report voter suppression and to support others if needed. You can also refer folks to a voter support helpline:

English: 866-OUR-VOTE – Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law

Spanish/English: 888-VE-Y-VOTA – NALEO Educational Fund

Arabic/English: 844-YALLA-US – Arab American Institute (AAI)

Mandarin/ Cantonese/ Korean/ Vietnamese/ Tagalog/ Urdu/ Hindi/ Bengali/ English: 888-API-VOTE – APIAVote  & Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC)

Helpline volunteers are prepared to provide nonpartisan voter information and assistance, document problems voters encounter when voting, and work with partners and volunteers on the ground to identify and remove barriers to voting.
