Grace and Peace to each of you in this Lenten season.


This weekend we look forward to your presence Sunday for morning meditations at 9 am and in worship for the AME Connectional observance of Purple Sunday and the Third Sunday of Lent at 9:30 am.


During the week, Morning Meditations with Metropolitan continue at 7 am Monday through Friday, Men's Prayer Call at 7:30 am on Monday, and Noonday and Pastor’s Study at noon and 7 pm continue on Wednesday.


For our study, we are in dialogue with Dr. Judy Fentress-Williams' Holy Imagination: A Literary and Theological Introduction to the Whole Bible. We’re invited to contemplate the scripture and its implications as we engage in the world. You can purchase the book at Bookshop, Target, and Amazon.

In honor of Women's History Month, the Young Adult Missionary Society of the Sarah Allen Missionary Society at Metropolitan will collect sanitary napkins for girls in the District of Colombia. Collection dates are Saturday, March 19 and Saturday, March 26 from 10 am to 12 pm at the church. Contact Sis. Carmel Henry at ms.carmelhenry@gmail.com with any questions.

 


This Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, Metropolitan and the Washington Interfaith Network the VIRTUAL March on Washington to demonstrate our power and communicate our demands for a vibrant, livable, safe, healthy, and affordable diverse city. Help us support Black homeownership in the District.

Purple Sunday

The African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Alzheimer's Association invite you to attend the Second Annual Connectional Purple Sunday, a free virtual program to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and other dementia.

The event will be held on Sunday, March 20 at 4 pm.

The Fourth Quarterly Conference will be held this Tuesday, March 22, 2022,

Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code sessions will resume on April 9th. The Free virtual sessions will be held on Saturdays from 11-12 noon on Zoom. If you know a girl who might be interested, please sign up by emailing Cristol Primas at cprimas@msn.com.
